Eye eye!

Tim Biskup is having his annual Bispop Christmas Party on Nov 30th and among the many things on offer is this awesome Helper Ring! The Ruby Eyed version is limited to 25pcs and the regular is an open edition so everyone has the chance of owning one! No word of Price just yet tho!

Santa Claus Is Gunning You Down

For Xmas this year everyone needs this Futurama Santa double pack, apparently it was a SDCC exclusive this year but I'd never seen it before! Unconfirmed whether the Santa has rotatable eyes for when he gets nasty...

Making some noise!

Sakurako Shimizu is the designer behind this awesome jewellery. Based on soundwaves each is custom made for a client and has a Soundwave laser cut into it. The soundwave can even be tailored to the client. The obove wedding bands for example house the soundwaves of the Bride and Groom saying "I Do".

They make the ultimate personalised gift or for a music lover. But don't expect it to be cheap!

This necklace is made from the sound of a Giggle.

And this cuff is the sound of a Bell ringing.

Pure Evil Hair Straighteners?!

So was lazing around earlier and thought I'd browse through lil ho's hair catalogue from Sallys Salon Services. How shocked was I to see that Pure Evil had done some hair straighteners for Corioliss's Exclusive Urban Art Collection.. Of course I love the panda's however not sure about them on hair straighteners.. I'd rather have them on my wall.. though if I received these for xmas I wouldnt send them back!
Available on the Corioliss site for £79.99 (however Sallys has them for just £49.99)
There's also a pretty cool Twiggy edition by Jef Aerosol!

New shoes

Popped into Slam City on Saturday (having spent two hours at home trying to buy the Jarvis Martin X figure!!!), saw these Emerica Aaron Suski edition Francis' and had to grab them. Good to see Emerica coming back with stronger shoes and editions after a bit of slump (IMO)...was seriously tempted by Hsu's new shoe as well but managed some restraint. Still haven't scored a Martin X however.

New Dalek print

Get it while its hot! New 18x24, 6 colour print to brighten up those long winter nights showing the newer style Space Monkey/abstract approach similar to the Decoder Ring print. A limited edition of 200 signed and numbered by Dalek and for only $75 plus shipping.

KR December releases....

.....all two of them....and Nick's already blogged the Ron English Dunny!! So that leaves the 7-inch Krink Mailbox. I'm sure KR will cop some flak for doing it but I like it, nice and random and changes things up a bit. Plus it's always good to see some more graff-related items particularly if that means a legend like Craig Costello and the classic silver drips.

Also it's interesting that this piece is resin and not the usual vinyl... it comes modelled with bolts, a debossed NYC stamp and dents from urban wear and tear. Comes out Dec 18th in a Krink-designed box December 18. 500 pieces retailing at $40.

Nasty Neil kicking custom ass!

I received an email this week with some customs from Nasty Neil. These two designs really stood out to me as imaginative use of the platform and great execution!

The Hippo is a Teddy Trooper for the upcoming "Wreck The Hallz" show for Immortal Beloved Toys, Starts Dec 20th. I think it kicks ass!

Anyone for Crabs???

It seems like years since we heard anything from Wheaty wheat... rather like Mindstyle, but lets not go into that now, far too many stories in that one. So it was great to receive an email with the latest releases.

First up are the Space Crabs by Pixelfillu. Available in 4 colour ways and come with removable helmet, articulated eyes (head) and Claw arms.
(Green: Limited to 160 pcs Black: Limited to 80 pcs White: Limited to 560 pcs Red: Limited to 304 pcs). Nick thinks we have seen these before, I don’t remember them, but to be honest I don’t remember much so he is probably right.

Be@rbrick Series 17

Series 17?!?! time is really flying. Due for release in December the latest from Medicom's 'brick line is a definite return to form after what I felt was a few below-par series. Featuring Mickey Mouse, Patapon, Russian flag, Devilrobots, the usual Jellybean variant and guest artist Alexander Girard, these will be available from your usual Medicom/Bearbrick stockist.

Google Life images

Google has put the entire Life catalogue of images into its search, so you can now spend hours of the day looking at some of the best news and science photography ever shot. Take a look here:

Otis live in Paris and London

Time for a music post. Stax have just released a new live album from Otis Redding "Live in London and Paris". I picked it up on a whim the other day and it's been on heavy rotation on the ipod ever since. Recorded on a tour in 1967 not too long before he died it's Otis at the top of his game....the classics are all there of course but it contains the best version of Try a Little Tenderness i've heard. Plus it features Sam & Dave and The Mar Kays. Stunning stuff.

Black Friday Release!

NEW TIME - NOW 2-4PM

Touma's Beak Falcon

Touma's recent releases have had more of a 'cute' side to them but this is straight back to Fang Wolf/Knuckle Bear territory with a vengance with Beak Falcon. This colourway is the first release with a blue and black variant also due in January. A GID version limited to 100 is also planned but no word on released date. Beak Falcon stands at around 6" (similar size to the OG Knuckle and earlier pieces such as Talons).

Dell x Tristan Eaton

Dell's Inspiron Mini 9 and 12 get a makeover from Mr Tristan Eaton of Thunderdog Studios. Recently Dell have let some other artists go wild on their larger laptop models so its no suprise that the pint sized laptops have received the same treatment.

Available for an extra $50 Tristan has done these 3 different designs (also available in alternate colourways). They are available to order in the USA now! Not yet in the UK tho, if they ever see our shores :(

Snobot Kaniza: Beware of Yellow Snow!

ToyQube have collaborated with Dacosta Bayley on this Christmas release. The figure is metallic white in colour and comes with either a Cherry or Peppermint coloured head!

"Don't eat yellow snow" they say... The truth about those mysterious little yellow stains in the snowbanks has finally been uncovered. Very soon you'll be able to get your hands on the top secret report, hidden from the general public by a shadowy organization that would like nothing more than to keep us in the dark on such matters. Well NO MORE I say!!! The truth is out there! and it's yellow!

Theories suggest that SNOBOTs possess powerful hypnotic abilities. This gives rise to the hypothesis that we build snowmen because of a hypnotic suggestion planted deep in our subconscious by these little visitors long ago.

The latest in a long line of sublime customs from the UK master Doktor A is "Mr. Tristan's Magnificent Electric Portal"...loving the name and the play on the origins of the pieces used - A Spud, Thundermutt and what looks like Munny Zipper pull.

The Return of Grant Hill

Back in '96 if you had these shoes you ruled the playground! The Detroit Pistons era Grant Hill Fila shoes are back! Another shoe in a long line of sneaker history that I wanted but never had :(But at least I never had the Stackhouse Fila's - a poor substitute for the Hill shoes).

Anyway the shoes are back, exclusively released at the The Reed Space on November 21st with some cool new colourways.

I also wanted these Filas, but never saw them in the UK! And I don't remember Fila making anything good since those days.

Artist Proof

Toy Qube's new clothing label Artist Proof is now in stock!! The clothing line features designs from ToyQube's main man Keith Poon and Filth! More Sutfin Bop goodness

Following on from the amazing customs comes great news for fans of Mike's work and the Bop Dragon. Like an uber vinyl monster tag team Mike and Rumble Monsters have formed an unholy alliance to create new Bop Dragons for general release.

Two extremely limited versions (no word on exact numbers) will be released: A "Painted" version & and "Unpainted" Lemonade vinyl. Two original illustrations were created and printed on the forehead and across the belly of each figure. The painted version is IMO absolutely stunning and has managed to retain some of the handpainted look and feel despite it being a production piece. As you can see the painteds are also done using translucent vinyl mmmmm
What's more, every single Bop Dragon comes packaged with additional new artwork running horizontally on a special header card, with signature. I've already paid for mine!

Devils Haircut

The figures from the recent To Hell with the Devil! Show from Devils Headquarters are up on their webstore!

Among the artists involved were Kill!, Motorbot (above), Cormack, John Madrid, Jeremy Brazeal, Drillone, Deeco, Leecifer, ToyGodd, Squidnik, Devilboy and Killswitch Engage!

Mmmmm....Bop!

I love the Bop Dragon...witness the previous post's on this toy around SDCC and Mike Sutfin's killer customs. When he's only gone an done it again with another batch of sublime pieces! These things are beautiful. Mike is also working with Bop Dragon creators Rumble Monsters to make a limited edition production piece. Cannot wait for that.

Michael Lau x AF1

Michael Lau's latest release sees him collaborating once again with Nike. This Crazy Michael Figure is accompanied by the release of some white quilted leather AF1's. They'd last 5 mins on my feet before getting scuffed.
