Casio collaborated with Nakano Shirou on this new watch and figure set, soon to be available from Casio retail outlets around the globe (but you probably only really stand a chance of getting one in Japan. lol)
The GA110-F was designed to Nakano Shirou's specification and the G-shock man was made by his firm Play Set Productions. Features all the regular features of a G-shock including Water resistant to 200m, Stopwatch, Calendar, World Time, Alarm etc.
Not an amazing figure by any means but a very cool partner for the watch, just a shame it obviously doesn't work as an actual clock. Loving the colourscheme and it's classic Japanese robot roots and i'd even wear the watch. Winner!

SecretBase x Ron English x Toy Tokyo
Secret Base, Toy Tokyo and Ron English have all collaborated together to produce this new version of Ron's McSupersized figure. This stunningly produced figure features a half painted shell, the other half being transparent and showing the skeleton of the figure beneath the clear plastic. Beautiful stuff!

Dehara custom Dave
Dehara Yukinori has created a new custom based on David Horvath's "Dave" character having already created a Morlin Dave and Menta Dave. This time it's Satoshi's turn for the custom treatment - if you know Dehara's work you'll know Satoshi was originally a clay figure based on the notion of the Japanese salaryman.
This is, I think, the first time a more human style character has appeared on the Dave figure and Dehara's added a nice twist by basing it on the latest GID Dave figure so he glows too. This piece is available from the Intheyellow webstore now!
Qee comeback?
It's been quiet on the Qee front for a long time but 2010 seems like a return to form for Toy2r with a new designer Qee Series - 6 and rumours of more 8" Qees on the way. So after fours years we have another designer series and the line up has a nice mix of the familiar, the up-and-coming and the new.
Launching in June the series has some nice UK representation from Jon Paul Kaiser and Peskimo, plus familiar names such as Frank Kozik, DGPH, Cameron Tiede and Lisa Petrucci. Old school Qee fans will also note the inclusion of Doink - talk about a blast from the vinyl past!

Mad Men x Mattel
Mattel and Lionsgate have released pictures of these new Mad Men Barbie figures. Part of the Fashion Barbie Collection these figures will be aimed at dedicated Barbie Collectors than the kiddies.
Personally I think they look stunning, you can see how much love and time has been taken recreating the 1960s fashions and they've done a damn good job especially on the girls. We have seen with so many 12" figures before that a suit is so difficult to recreate, the best example probably being a Hot Toys figure (possibly TDK Joker). The girls in this set look particularly stunning though.
The figures will be produced in 'limited runs' of between 7 and 10,000 of each character.
